The Backpack Project

January - April 2018

The Backpack project was a school project for my class titled: Textiles for Mass Production. The goal of the project was to create something more than just a backpack. I decided to create a backpack that could hold my skateboard. One issue I had with pre-existing skate packs was that the velcro holding the board usually wasn't strong enough and the board would droop down. To combat this issue, I created an extended looped webbing at the top that could be used for hanging the backpack, but also for holding the skateboard to prevent it from drooping. Throughout this project, I created a variety of different prototypes before the final one was creates.
